WO & WÉ is a handmade lighting design studio, founded in 2010 by Olivier and based in Villeurbanne, Lyon, France.
It was in a workshop, a former industrial premises nestled at the end of a courtyard that I imagined, designed and created a collection of steel and brass lighting fixtures: modular, adjustable and articulated lighting objects.
In 2020, Juliette, my daughter, who had already created the first website and the technical drawings of the lamps, joined the adventure:
Since then, it has been a real collaborative and family work that has taken place. Creativity is combined with rigor and technique in order to offer simple, functional and fun lighting fixtures.

Our partners are local artisans: the lampshades are embossed, the steel parts turned and the metals burnished, for WO & WÉ, in the Lyon region.
We assemble and bend our lights by hand, in our workshop.
Each of our lights is unique, and requires many manufacturing steps. We offer a choice of 9 different lampshades, which allow you to customize the models in order to meet the different lighting functions in interiors. We can also modify on request, and subject to technical constraints, the lengths of the arms of our wall and ceiling lights.
Furthermore, all our lights can be repaired.
We are committed to offering a solution for every interior, with a collection of modern and classic lighting.
We believe in local and quality know-how, a slow and responsible manufacturing process. An instinctive work imagined around the steel or brass tube, a daily relationship with this object, a unique dimension with light.
